CBSE Issues Warning Against Miscreants Spreading Fake News

The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a warning to alert students and parents against rumours/fake news that are being spread on social networking sites like Facebook, twitter and youtube, ahead of Board Exams starting from February 15.

“It is being noticed that certain unscrupulous elements intend to spread rumors by hosting fake videos/messages on News platforms/Social Media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, twitter etc to spread confusion and panic amongst students, parents, schools and general public”, reads the CBSE press release.

The CBSE also warns the miscreants against involving in such activities and stating that immediate remedial action, if needed will be taken if any case of fake news come to the notice of the Board.

The Board has also appealed to the general public to cooperate with the Board for the smooth conduct of exams 2020 and not “to participate in spreading of rumors and also not to believe in baseless information”.

The Board has also reassured that it has made all necessary arrangements for the smooth and fair conduct of examinations.
