New Delhi: With the announcement that it will make study material available online as classes are suspended till March 31 due to COVID-19, Delhi University (DU) has become the first in India to do so.
In a notice released late on Thursday evening, it said that to “maintain continuity in the teaching-learning process” all departments will make study material available through the DU website.
It also said that “teachers… shall remain available as per time table through e resources”. Internal assessments and house examinations also stand postponed till March 31, the release said.
All functions including seminars, conferences, symposiums, workshops and group activities are also cancelled. The university will revisit these measures after March 31. The measures come in the wake of Delhi government’s decision to shut all schools, colleges and cinema halls till March 31. The government had initially shut all primary on March 5 and has since extended the order to other institutions.
