Kerala Starts Classes On TV For Students Without Internet

Kochi: Taking Unlock 1.0 to a simpler level, the Kerala state government has come up with a solution that tackles internet problems as well.

The state government is telecasting digital classes named “First bell” on the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE)-Victers channel, website, mobile app, and social media pages.

The lessons in Malayalam and English will be conducted between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.

School students can watch them live or even download them for replays or if they could not watch in real-time.

“We very well know the situation of COVID-19, its spread and how dangerous it is. We need the nod of the center and the state government to open schools and start regular classes. So the department had decided to start online classes,” K Jeevan Babu,Director of Public Instruction (DPI) said.
