Madhya Pradesh, Cambridge Assessment English Prog To Now Cover 50,000 Students

New Delhi: The Department of Higher Education (DHE) Madhya Pradesh, recognising the success of Cambridge Assessment English’s pilot program to enhance the communication skills of students in the state, has decided that this joint initiative will expand from 2000 to 50000 students across the state.

Cambridge Assessment English, a department of the University of Cambridge, UK had signed an MoU with the DHE of Madhya Pradesh earlier.

The above announcement was made by Mr. Jitu Patwari, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh after the discussion with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath.

Dr. Anupama Rawat, Officer on Special Duty, DHE Madhya Pradesh, Francesca Woodward, CEO, Cambridge Assessment English, UK and T K Arunachalam, Regional Director – South Asia, Cambridge Assessment English addressed in a media briefing session at Institute of Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal to explain the above announcement.

Francesca Woodward, CEO, Cambridge Assessment English thanked Jitu Patwari, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh for his proactive role in the success of this program, reports indiaeducationdiary.in.

This initiative from the government of Madhya Pradesh to implement international standards of English enables students to communicate effectively on a global level. Universities, by incorporating Cambridge Assessment English into their English language programmes, can ensure that their students develop effective language skills that prepare them for employment and further study, both in India and worldwide.
