Chandigarh: The Punjab Board of School Education, has promoted students of Class V, VIII and X to the next class without the final examinations, amidst the coronavirus outbreak. The mark sheets of all these students says ‘Promoted due to COVID-19’.
As per official data, there are a total number of 3.22 lakh students in Class V, approximately 3.15 lakh students in Class VIII, and 3.17 students in Class X.
For Class XII students, pending exams will be held. However, the official date sheet is yet to be out. It is expected that exams will be held from July.
