Railways Invite Applications For Posts Under Scouts & Guides Quota

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Indian Railways has released a notification inviting applications for filling up posts under Scouts and Guides Quota.

The last date to apply for the positions is November 18, 2019.

The total number of vacancies under Scouts and Guides Quota are 14. Two posts are under Scouts and Guide Level-2 and 12 posts are Scouts and Guides Level-1.

Age Limit:
• For Scouts and Guides Level -2, 18-30 years for General category; 18-33 for OBC and 18-35 years for SC/SC candidates.
• For Scouts and Guides Level -1, 18-33 years for General Category; 18-36 for OBCs and 18-38 years for SC/ST candidates.

Required Certificates Scouts and Guide Quota:
• A President’s Scout/Guide/ Roger/Ranger (or) Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any given section.
• Should have been an active member of a Scouts organisation for the last 5 years.
• Should have attended two events at the national level or All India Railway’s level and two events at the state level.

Educational Qualification
• For Scouts and Guides Level-2, candidates must be 10th pass or its equivalent with no less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate for non-technical categories.
• For Scouts and Guides Level-2 (Technical), candidates with Act Apprenticeship/ITI can apply for the posts.
• For Scouts and Guides Level-1, candidates must be 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.

Selection:
Candidates who are found eligible for consideration for appointment have to sit for a written test of 60 marks.
The merit list will be prepared after also giving weightage to services rendered in national events, state events, participation in district rallies and specialised courses undertaken by the candidates.
