2.42 Lakh Candidates Appeared For NEET PG Exam, Says NBEMS
NBEMS had engaged 2200 faculty members from various medical colleges and NBEMS accredited hospitals to ensure zero tolerance towards use of unfair means
NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the NEET PG 2025 exam on August 3, with more than 2,42,000 candidates appearing for it.
The exam was conducted in a single shift in the computer-based mode at 1052 test centres across 301 cities. This is the largest computer-based exam in India in terms of number of candidates which has been conducted in a single shift, said a press release issued by NBEMS.
In its release, the Board said that arrangement were made to ensure the safe, smooth and secure conduct of NEET-PG 2025.
For the smooth process of the exam, NBEMS had engaged more than 2200 faculty members from various medical colleges and NBEMS accredited hospitals to appraise the conduct of exam and to ensure zero tolerance towards use of unfair means cases.
The Board had written to the chief secretaries, DGPs of all the states to ensure adequate law and order, cyber security and uninterrupted power supply at all exam centres.
To prevent cyber scam, the NBEMS took help of Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs. Around 300 cyber commandos fanned out to various exam centres, especially the sensitive ones, to prevent cheating.
“The NBEMS deployed more than 200 personnel at its office to continuously monitor the live CCTV feed which was been received from all the test centres in a real time manner,” said the release, adding that senior faculty members, dean, director of medical colleges and NBEMS governing body members visited the exam centres as a flying squad.
The mobile signals at all the test centre were blocked by installing adequate number of signal jammers.
