206 Selected In Final Results Of UPSC Engineering Services Exam, Check The Details

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Engineering Service Examination (ESE) 2024.

Rohit Dhondge has topped the list of successful candidates followed by Harshit Pandey and Laxmikant who bagged the second and third places respectively.

A total of 206 candidates have been recommended for appointment after the UPSC declared the final results of the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024. The results are now available on the commission’s official website, upsc.gov.in.

Of the 206 selected candidates, the distribution across branches is as follows

  • Civil Engineering: 92
  • Mechanical Engineering: 18
  • Electrical Engineering: 26
  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: 70

How to check UPSC ESE 2024 Results

Step 1: Visit the official website, upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: click on the link titled ‘Final Result: Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2024’ on the home page

Step 3: A new page displaying a PDF file will open.

Step 4: Search for roll number

Step 5: Download the PDF, and print it for reference.

As many as 71 candidates belonging to general category have made it to the final list, followed by 59 from OBC, 34 from SC, 22 from EWS, and 20 from ST.

This year, the UPSC ESE was conducted for 251 vacancies. The written exam was held in June, while the interviews or personality tests were held in October and November.

Reserve list

A reserve list of 82 candidates has been maintained as per the rules. Additionally, the candidature of 43 candidates is provisional, including 17 from Civil, 2 from Mechanical, 6 from Electrical, and 18 from E&T.

“Appointments shall be made strictly in accordance with the extant rules and the number of vacancies available. Allotment of candidates to various services/posts shall be made according to ranks obtained and preferences expressed by them,” said the UPSC.
