42 lakh Students To Appear For 10th, 12th Class Board Exams From Today

Students need to carry with them admit cards and school ID cards

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2025 will begin on February 15.

Around 42 lakh students will appear for the board exams. As per data shared by the CBSE, the Class 10 and Class 12 exams will be held in 7,842 exam centres set up across India and 26 foreign countries.

In a first, the CBSE on February 14 organised a live webcast to explain the modalities of the board exam guidelines for the centre superintendents, deputy centre superintendents, assistant superintendents, city coordinators and observers and also evaluation guidelines in addition to the roles and responsibilities of all functionaries.

The two-hour webcast went live at the CBSE’s YouTube channel at around 2.30 pm.

Students appearing for the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams need to carry with them the admit cards and school ID cards. The CBSE 2025 admit cards have details on the exam timings, subjects taken by the student and exam centre details.

According to the CBSE 2025 datesheet, the Class 10 board exams will begin with the English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) paper on February 15.

The exams will be conducted from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.

The Class 12 exams will be held for the entrepreneurship paper on the first day. This year, sufficient gaps have been given between two subjects.

The CBSE secondary school examinations will continue till March 18 while the CBSE senior school board exams will end on April 4, 2025.

  • Only diabetic students can bring eatables
