5,000 Students Receive Degrees In NIT Jalandhar’s Virtual Convocation
Jalandhar: The Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar’s 16th convocation ceremony was held virtually on Sunday, December 27.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) chairperson and chief guest Anil Sahasrabudhe handed over 608 B.Tech degrees, 72 MSc degrees, 30 PhD degrees and 15 MBA degrees to the students virtually.
The chief guest spoke on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and said how the NEP was formulated following consultation with the experts. According to him, this was to ensure uniformity in education across the country and unlimited opportunities to learn.
The outgoing students were congratulated by the NIT Jalandhar director Lalit Kumar. The director said that new opportunities awaited them in their careers.
Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre, who attended the virtual convocation, also applauded the students for their achievements.
