7 New UG And PG Programmes Launched By National Rail and Transportation Institute, Vadodara
Vadodara: The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) in Vadodara has launched seven new programmes — two at the undergraduate level (BTech) and five postgraduate (3 MSc and 2 MBA).
The BTech programmes will focus on rail infrastructure, rail systems and communication engineering, the MBA programmes on transportation and supply chain management, and MSc on policy and economics, systems engineering and integration (in collaboration with University of Birmingham), systems and analytics, according to Ministry of Railways.
Railway Board CEO and Chairman VK Yadav said that the NRTI plans to use its academic and industry partnerships and collaborations. “The NRTI intends to develop a set of core values which include, dedication to nation-building, commitment to innovation and academic excellence, compassion towards people and society,” he added.
Yadav said that Indian Railways will play a role in serving as an “experiential learning laboratory” for students. “Students passing out of these programmes could add great value in nation building as future citizens, he hoped.
