75% Pass Jharkhand Class 10 Exams, Highest Percentage In The State In Last Seven Years
Ranchi: Exactly 75% of the students who had appeared for Class X exams in Jharkhand were successful in clearing it, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) announced on Wednesday. It’s the highest pass percentage in the state in the last seven years.
Kodarma saw the maximum of 83 per cent successful candidates, followed by state capital Ranchi (80). Pakur district logged the lowest percentage (63.98) of successful pupils.
Students can check their results online at jacresults.com, and jac.jharkhand.gov.in. They have to click on the direct link available on the websites, enter registration number/roll number and the result will appear on the screen. Students can then download the result and take a printout.
Those who scored a minimum of 33% in all papers were declared to have passed the Board exam. Students who have failed in one or more subjects will have to appear for supplementary exams to improve their scores.
The matric exams, which were held from February 10 to February 28, saw 3,85,144 students take the tests of which 2,88,928 have passed. As many as 1,48,051 students secured first division, 1,24,036 got second division while 16,841 third division.
The boys outshone the girls, scoring almost one percent higher on average, reported The Indian Express.
The council was scheduled to declare the results by the end of May, but things got delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
