9,085 Candidates Qualify In UPSC CDS 2 Examinations

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Combined Defence Services (CDS 2) Examination Result 2025.
Candidates can view their results on the official websites, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
A total of 9,085 candidates qualified for the written test for the CDS 2 examinations and advanced to the interview round.
According to the official notification, the UPSC CDS 2 exam was held on September 14, 2025 in three shifts—9 am to 11 am, 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, and 4 pm to 6 pm.
The UPSC aims to fill 453 vacancies through this recruitment drive. Candidates submitted their applications until June 20, 2025.
How to check UPSC CDS II 2025
Step 1: Go to the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the “Result: CDS Examination (II), 2025” link on the homepage.
Step 3: Download the PDF of UPSC CDS Result 2025 that opens in a new tab.
Step 4: Search for roll number in the PDF and save it for reference.

The marksheets will be accessible on the official website for 30 days. Candidates who have cleared the UPSC CDS 2 written exam and selected the Army as their first preference need to register on the Directorate General of Recruiting’s portal, joinindianarmy.nic.in.
These candidates can expect interview calls for the Short Service Commission (SSC) soon. The UPSC CDS 2 exam serves as a gateway for recruiting officers into the Indian Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
There will be a penalty for incorrect responses in the Objective Type Question Papers, as negative marking is applicable. The UPSC will compile a list of candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
Those selected for training receive a monthly stipend of Rs 56,100. Upon successful completion and commissioning as a Lieutenant, the basic pay remains Rs 56,100 per month. In addition to the basic salary, the overall compensation package includes Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and Special Allowance.
Candidates who clear the UPSC CDS 2 examination are admitted to various prestigious institutions across the Indian Armed Forces.
