Shimla: Ninety-nine students and 23 staff members of an elite residential public school in Himachal Pradesh’s Dalhousie resort in Chamba district have tested COVID-19 positive, the officials said on Monday.
According to Deputy Commissioner DC Rana, all patients of Dalhousie Public School were asymptomatic. “All of them have been kept in isolation and a medical team is monitoring their health,” Raina was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.
The school was established in 1970 and has several students from non-resident Indian families and prominent personalities.
The educational institutions have been shut here till April 15 due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
However, the teaching and non-teaching staff will perform their duties.
