BYJU’S ‘Give’ Initiative Aims To Provide Digital Education To Underpriviliged Children
Bengaluru: BYJU’S launched the ‘Give’ initiative on Friday through which they aim to encourage digital and remote learning for underprivileged children.
In partnership with mobile e-commerce platform Cashify, the leading edtech platform will collect and refurbish old and unused smart devices donated by citizens. They will be loaded with BYJU’S applications and distributed to children without access to digital education, reported website Daijiworld.
BYJU’S target is to provide five million underprivileged children in remote areas with access to quality digital education by the year 2025. They will also ensure responsible recycling of old technology.
BYJU’s COO Mrinal Mohit spoke about the company’s desire to provide children with “an equal opportunity to learn and thrive in life”. He also said that this “simple gesture can give a new start to a child’s education, especially in challenging times like these.”
