New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the deadline for thesis submission by MPhil and PhD students from December 31 to June 30, 2021 in view of the pandemic, reported The Indian Express.
An official notice issued by UGC states that the pandemic affected students’ ability to conduct their research or “access library services that are critical for completion of thesis”. The extension of six months would enable “submitting evidence of publication and presentation in two conferences.”
The notice also added that the tenure of the fellowship of MPhil or PhD will still remain up to five years.
