Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath government has declared setting up of an ‘AYUSH University’ in Gorakhpur. The university will be functional from 2021.
“The foundation stone will be laid in the second fortnight of January 2021. All the pre-foundation procedures are being completed without delay so that construction work can start immediately,” the Chief Minister’s office said.
According to news agency IANS, construction work will be done in such a way that college affiliation and other administrative work in AYUSH University begins from session 2021-22.
Public Works Department has earmarked a budget of Rs 29,987.83 lakh for the construction of the state’s AYUSH varsity.
The Central Council of Indian Medicine standards will be followed in the establishment of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy educational institutions in the varsity.
