CBSE Provides More Details On Class X & XII Board Exams
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj recently conducted a meeting with select principals from schools affiliated with CBSE to provide clarification on the CBSE Board exams, reported Times Now News.
The practical papers will be conducted in school labs only after reopening of schools, with the CBSE date sheet set to release at a later date, after consultation with stakeholders, and “sufficient time for preparation” will be given, confirmed the senior official.
Other important points discussed in the meeting include the paper pattern and typology of question papers remaining the same as existing in the CBSE sample papers on the official website, no further syllabus reduction and practical exams being conducted in school labs in the presence of an external examiner.
The board will also allow no more than 12 students to be seated in a class for board exams, with three sets of question papers with the same difficulty level and unchanged marking scheme (80 marks for theory paper and 20 for internal evaluation), and moderation will be considered in case of higher difficulty.
Dr. Bharadwaj also announced the release of a new software by CBSE for managing exams, with schools being allowed to assess co-scholastic areas, and asking all to refer only to the official website and communication channels for any further updates.
