Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the collectors of 11 districts on Sunday to close schools and other educational institutions on Monday, September 27 in view of the cyclone Gulab, which is expected to make landfall by midnight on Monday.
According to Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Jena, the Chief Minister has directed Collectors of 11 districts — Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Khordha, Puri, Nayagah and Kalahandi to keep schools and other educational institutions closed for tomorrow.
Naveen reviewed the preparedness of the district officials via video conferencing from New Delhi.
“The Chief Minister has also directed Collectors to take appropriate decision regarding closure of schools and educational institutions on Tuesday depending on the situation in their respective districts,” Jena said.
