Bhubaneswar: A partnership agreement has been signed between the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology’s (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP).
Under the agreement, the online Self-directed Emotional Learning for Empathy and Kindness (SEEK) course will be dished out for KIIT-KISS staff and students in a phased manner.
KIIT Deemed-to-be-University and KISS Deemed-to-be-University is among the first varsities in the world to implement the University Grants Commission (UGC)-endorsed MGIEP SEEK course.
Director, UNESCO MGIEP, Dr Anantha Duraiappah and Founder, KIIT & KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta, Chancellor – KISS Deemed-to-be-University, Satya Tripathi and representatives from several embassies in Delhi and UN offices graced the agreement-signing ceremony.
“KIIT & KISS are based on the ethos of Compassion, Kindness and Humanitarianism. We are glad to partner with UNESCO MGIEP to equip our students and staff with Emotional Intelligence skills that help in building emotional resilience, especially when humanity is passing through testing times,” said Dr Samanta.
