Bhubaneswar: Classroom teaching for Class I to VII students is likely to resume after Diwali.
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash told the media Sunday that no decision has yet been taken but students of these classes may attend school in physical mode after Diwali.
Since the likelihood of COVID-19 third wave is almost negligible in Odisha, all possibilities are being explored for the reopening of schools for Class I to VII, he said.
Dash said that classes are being reopened in a graded manner and teaching in physical mode is continuing for Class VIII to XII. “We are hopeful that a decision will be taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the reopening of schools after Diwali at any moment,” he added.
Notably, classroom teaching for Class XI and VII began on October 21 and October 25, 2021, respectively. Classes for students of X and XII had resumed from July 26, 2021.
