IIT-Bombay Congratulates Its Alumnus Parag Agrawal!
Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai congratulated its alumnus Parag Agrawal after he was elevated to the CEO position of the American micro-blogging site Twitter.
“Congratulations to our alumnus Dr. Parag Agrawal for being appointed the new CEO of Twitter. Dr. Agrawal obtained his B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2005. He started working at Twitter in 2011 & became the CTO in 2017,” tweeted the institute tweeted.

Parag’s father was an employee of the atomic energy sector and held senior positions there, while his mother is a retired school teacher. Thirty-seven-year-old Parag studied at Mumbai’s Atomic Energy Central School.
He moved to the United States in 2005 and joined Twitter while pursuing his PhD at Stanford University in 2011.
Twitter’s outgoing CEO Dorsey on Monday declared that Agrawal will be the company’s new chief executive officer after he stepped down. Dorsey was there for 16 years at the company he co-founded and helmed.
