NMC Extends Deadline for PG Medical Colleges’ Annual Declaration Report With Penalty
Medical colleges can submit their Annual Declaration Report until December 7, 2024 by paying a penalty of 20000 plus 18% GST per each course
HYDERABAD: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline again for submitting the PG Annual Declaration Report for medical courses but with penalty.
The NMC Postgraduate Medical Board Annual Declaration said that the medical colleges that are yet to submit their Annual Declaration Report can do so until December 7, 2024 by paying a penalty of 20000 plus 18% GST per each course.
In a notice to the Directors, Principals, Deans of all medical colleges and Institutions, the NMC said that some requests had been received from some government medical colleges seeking an extension on the last date for submission of Annual Declaration Report.
“This matter has been examined comprehensively in the Board with recommendation of Secretary, NMC. It has been decided to extend last date by 15 days for submission of Report of MSMER with penalty of Rs. Twenty thousand plus GST (i.e. Rs 20,000/- plus 18% GST) per each course,” the notification read.
No further extension
It may be noted that no more extension will be given after December 7, 2024. The terms and conditions mentioned in original Notice dated 01 October 2024 shall remain same. All the concerned colleges, institutions are requested to take necessary action and strictly adhere to the same, the notice added.
As per the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023), all medical colleges and institutions offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses in India are required to submit Annual Declaration Report.
The NMC issued a notice on October 1, 2024 and fixed a deadline for the submission of Annual Declaration Report as October 31, 2024. However, this deadline was extended first to November 15, 2024 and then to November 22, 2024.
Now, this deadline has been extended until December 7, 2024.
