HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government has forged a partnership with EdTech major PhysicsWallah (PW) to set up a University of Innovation in the State.
The University of Innovation will educate the youth in emerging technologies such as AI, new-age skills, and entrepreneurship. The institution will work for blending academic excellence and innovation to address pressing challenges in education and employability.
The university will serve as the hub, and while satellite centres will be opened across Andhra Pradesh, acting as spokes. This initiative will provide students from diverse backgrounds access to modern education in online and in-person mode.
HRD Minister Nara Lokesh said the partnership would help equip the youth of the state with the skills as per the industry demands and job market.
“We are confident that this initiative will strengthen Andhra Pradesh as a leader for talent development and knowledge creation,” media reported Lokesh as saying.
The HRD Minister also posted about the MoU signed with Physicswallah on social media platform X.

MoU with TBI
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has also partnered with Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) to modernise the State’s higher education system.
As per the agreement, the TBI will advise the HRD Minister in driving transformative change in the state’s higher education system and identifying opportunities to boost employment opportunities by improving government universities, polytechnics, and colleges.
The objective is to foster innovation and create a robust platform for inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the State.
