New Delhi: Forty-six teachers were on Thursday conferred the national teacher’s award 2018 by President Ram Nath Kovind. The award carries a silver medal, certificate and Rs 50,000.

4. Teachers from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Rajasthan and Jharkhand were selected because of the innovative teaching methods introduced by them in the classroom.
5. Remya Parameshwar Iyer, a PGT Biotechnology teacher at KV Khanapara, Guwahati utilised government funds to set up a lab to provide students hands-on experience.
