Hajipur: East Central Railway has invited applications for 1,465 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and other posts under the General Department Competitive Examination (GDCE). Eligible candidates can apply through the official East Central Railway website, ecr.indianrailways.gov.in.
The last date to submit applications is October 15, 2026. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria and selection process before applying.
The upper age limit for candidates is as follows:
- UR: 42 years
- OBC: 45 years
- SC/ST: 47 years
The selection process will begin with a Computer Based Test (CBT). Depending on the post, candidates may also have to appear for a Computer Based Aptitude Test or Computer Based Typing Skill Test.

- Medical Examination
The CBT will consist of 100 questions and candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the examination.
