New Delhi: The University of Delhi (DU) will host the second edition of its flagship placement drive, AVASAR 2026, on 7 October, with more than 85 organisations set to participate and over 4,000 students already registered for the event.
Organised by the Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW), the event will run from 9 am to 5 pm at the Multipurpose Hall, Gate No. 2, G C Narang Marg, North Campus.
Formerly known as “Job Mela”, AVASAR aims to connect students with prospective employers, offering both employment and internship opportunities across diverse sectors. The drive is open to all DU students.
Among others, the recruiters expected to attend the placement drive include SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life, PPG Foundation, Influngio, Surasa, Dear Sir E‑Learning, Cambridge School, Bharti Bhawan, Unthinkable Solutions, Muthoot Finance, Verdicto, Connect Jobs, LSSSDC, Intellexia Tech and Hazelnut Cyborg Infra Solutions.
The university confirmed that the highest annual package exceeds Rs 10 lakh, while internship stipends may reach Rs 60,000 per month.
Highlighting its commitment to student employability, the CPC said the initiative strengthens industry engagement and helps students explore career paths aligned with their academic qualifications and skills.
By bringing together leading organisations and thousands of aspirants, AVASAR 2026 is expected to be one of DU’s largest placement platforms this year.
