New Delhi: Without an iota of scope for the educational institutions to reopen in near future, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has now sought parents’ take on reopening schools this year.
The HRD Ministry has sent a letter to the secretaries of different states asking them to take feedbacks from parents on when to reopen the schools. It also sought suggestions on the changes they expect when normalcy returns.
The letter, quoted by The Print website, said that the Ministry asked the parents whether they would be comfortable with schools reopening in August, September or October.
“What is the likely period when they will be comfortable with reopening of schools — August/September/October, 2020 and what are the parents expectations from schools as and when they re-open,” read the letter.
HRD ministry is also expected to formulate guidelines for schools to follow after they restart. The states have been asked to file their responses by July 20.
