Karnataka Common Entrance Test Results Postponed; Check New Date Here
Bengaluru: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on Wednesday announced it has decided to postpone the declaration of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) results by a day. The results were to be declared on August 20.
Confirming the news, Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan said in an official statement, “The results of the CET exam, which was due to be announced on August 20 will now be announced on August 21 (Friday) due to technical reasons.” The Minister is also in charge of Higher Education.
According to The Indian Express report, Ashwathnarayan also mentioned that the fees and the seat-matrix ratio will remain the same as the academic year 2019-2020. Moreover, the Karnataka government has also decided to hold the counselling process completely online this year due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Successful KCET candidates will be required to participate in the counselling process. There will be two rounds of counselling which will be held after the NEET and JEE counselling. The exact dates of counselling have not been declared yet.
The results will be declared at 12.30 pm on the official website, karresults.nic.in tomorrow, August 21.
