Super 30’s Anand Kumar To Address Students Of California University

Patna:  Renowned mathematician and founder of Super 30 Anand Kumar has been requested for a virtual meeting with the students of University of California, Berkeley.

The step has been taken to uplift the morale of the students during the coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed around 80,000 lives in the US.

The invitation was sent by the Shubham Parekh, the Executive Vice President of Berkeley India Speaker Series, for the session on May 16. University of California, Berkeley interacts with Indian speakers of various fields from time to time and talks about politics, social activism and culture of the nation.

“As someone who has grown up in India and witnessed the dire situation of the public education system, I have realised the importance of your contribution to the upliftment of the marginalised sections of the society through education. Your work in the education sector has been awarded, praised across the globe and we would like the students of UC Berkeley to gain your invaluable advice,” NDTV quoted the invitation as saying.

Responding to the invitation, Kumar said, “In the difficult times, as we are in today, there is a need to hold on to our nerves and be positive. I will tell the students the success stories of my own students who never gave up despite seemingly insurmountable odds to make a mark for themselves. Challenges always come with opportunities. All that is required is to recognise them.”

Kumar is internationally recognised for his work and ‘Super 30’ initiative which is quite successful and helpful to many young students who can’t afford expensive education.
