Aditya Birla Public School Bhubaneswar Organises 8th Foundation Day

Yoga should be made mandatory for all educational institution, says Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development

Bhubaneswar: Aditya Birla Public School, Bhubaneswar organized its 8th Foundation Day in the presence of Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development.

Advising the youngsters to read the Bhagavad Gita and practise yoga, Rajashree Birla said it’s essential that the youth must get over restlessness and stop seeking gratification.

Study of Bhagavad Gita can help channelise restlessness and transform the mindset to deal with failures and motivate them to see opportunities in the challenges. Besides, yoga should be made mandatory for students in all educational institutions to develop their overall well-being, she said.

Participating in the programme as the chief guest, eminent social science researcher Fr (Dr) Paul Pudussery CSC said the students and youth should consider each setback as a new learning and bounce back with better performance and innovation in all their endeavours.

Dr. S. Ganguly, Group Advisor-Education, Aditya Birla Group said the Aditya Birla Group is serving he nation by setting up Aditya Birla Public Schools in rural and semi-urban areas and ensuring the holistic development of the students.

Apart from academic excellence, the dignitaries at the programme emphasised on co-curricular and character-building of students.

LN Dash, Principal of Aditya Birla Public School, Bhubaneswar and mentor of the school Daphne Unger and president of Hindalco Ardhendu Mohapatra were among other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
