Bhubaneswar: City-based media production house Adpix has set up an institute to cater to the increased requirement of skilled manpower in the entertainment industry.
The Adpix Film and Television Institution (AFTI) is a full-time educational institution and boasts of academicians with real industry experience, working professionals and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Headed by Sonali Bose (former lecturer at Biju Patnaik Film and Television Institute Odisha) as the principal, AFTI aims to design a new generation of storytellers in Visual and Aural Art in film, video as well as emerging media.
It is also one of the only film school in Odisha combined with a multi-purpose production house.
“Our Production House is intertwined with the educational institution, so students can participate in the production of programs personally as part of their practical training. Adpix is into producing TV serials, TV commercials, corporate films, documentaries and music videos. Students can gain practical on job experience by being a part in the various productions,” said Rudra Prasad Mohapatra, the Director of the newly founded AFTI.
“Our focus is on practical training with 20:80 ratio. Theory 20 per cent and 80 per cent on job practical training. Each batch is to have six students so that each student will get personal attention and guidance,” he further added.

Eligibility:
Applicants should normally have at least one of the following–
- • Minimum 10+2 or 12th pass
- • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent (international) or higher qualification.
The applicant is required to appear for a written test, group discussion and personal interview before the final selection. Depending on their score in the written test, some promising students will be given a scholarship from the institution.
Duration:
Course duration is six months in the classroom and three months internship in inhouse productions. The medium of instruction is English and Hindi/Odia. Admissions are open round the year.
