Bhubaneswar: To promote literature among students, Ahmedabad University’s School of Arts and Sciences has started an online programme called ‘Literature for Life.’
The course aims to endorse literature as a source of enjoyment as well as an intellectual guide among students. It comprises lectures, class discussions, audiovisuals, role enactment, group work, etc.
As stated by the university, the course will expose the students to diverse perspectives on literature and tools helpful in studying texts. The course aims to offer important life lessons to the individual so that he or she can fulfill professional, individual and societal goals.
Under the guidance of Professor Kunal Basu, the students will get to learn about fables, romances, historical fictions, family saga, war and social conflict. The course will include both Indian as well as International authors.
Students will be encouraged to study character, plot and context in a manner that they are able to draw parallels with their real life experiences and perceptions.
