New Delhi: Senior IAS official Amit Khare took temporary charge as Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy on Saturday.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet handed the temporary to charge to Khare, who is the Secretary of the Higher Education Department, for eight days — October 24 to November 1 in lieu of the incumbent secretary, Anita Karwal, who is on leave, Newsd reported.
Before his appointment as the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education last year, Khare was posted as the Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
