Anti-CAA Protests: Institutes, Boards Announce Postponement Of Exams

New Delhi: The ongoing protests across the country over the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act has led to the postponement of several exams including national level tests.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI):
ICSI has postponed the exams scheduled for today and tomorrow in all exam centres in the country. Hence, exams of all the executive and professional programmes scheduled for both these days stands postponed for now. Fresh dates will be announced later. ICSI has, however, not cited any reasons for deferring the exams.

Assam Teacher Eligibility Test:
The secondary education board of the Assam Government has said that test scheduled for December 22 has been postponed. The exam will now be held on January 19, 2019.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU);
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS):

Both these institutes in Karnataka have postponed their exams scheduled for today in view of the violent agitations in the state.

Lucknow University:

The university has also announced the postponement of semester examinations which were to be held today. In a notice, it said that examinations scheduled for today at all affiliated colleges of Lucknow University have been deferred. Fresh dates will be announced later.
