NEW Delhi: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended its registration window for the 2025 recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) and Specialist Officers (SO).
Candidates can register themselves through the direct link on the official IBPS website, ibps.in by July 28. The recruitment drive aims to fill 6,215 posts, including 5,208 vacancies for Probationary Officers and 1,007 for Specialist Officers.
Eligibility criteria
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on July 1, 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Credit History: Applicants must maintain a satisfactory credit record at the time of joining.
Banks may cancel offers if the credit report is not updated or if adverse remarks are not resolved before joining.
“Those candidates whose CIBIL or other similar agencies has not been updated before the date of joining, have to either get the status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the report, failing which the letter of offer may be withdrawn / cancelled. The final discretion in this regard remains with the allotted Bank,” IBPS stated in its notification.

Personality Test
- Those who clear the Main examination will be called for a Personality Test (self-report).
- Personality profile of the candidates will be placed before the Interview panel.
- The personality test will be non-qualifying in nature. However, appearing in the personality test will be mandatory for being eligible for appearing for the Interview process.

How to apply IBPS PO 2025
Step 1: Visit the official website, ibpsreg.ibps.in.
Step 2: Select new registration for new applicants, and already registered candidates in the previous cycle can use their credentials to log in.
Step 3: Fill in the application form, and add scanned documents in the prescribed formats.
Step 4: Pay the fee and download the application form.
Admission to the examination will be provisional without verification of eligibility documents.
Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to interview. The candidates who have opted for the services of a scribe in the online application form will be required to fill in the details of the scribe at the time of downloading the examination call letter.
For candidates applying under the EWS category, the certificate should be valid for the year 2025-26 for the financial year 2024-25. For candidates applying under the OBC (NCL) category, the OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate should be issued on or after 01.04.2025 till the date of the interview.
