Applications Invited For UPSC Defence Examinations; Check Details
New Delhi: Applications have been invited for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination (I) 2021 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday.
Candidates can apply online at upsconline.nic.in by 6 pm on January 19. Aspirants can withdraw applications from January 27 to 6 pm on February 2.
The written test for admission to the army, navy and air force wings of the NDA for the 147th course will be held on April 18. The examination for the 109th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) will start on January 2, according to ABP Education.
The recruitment exam will shortlist as many as 400 candidates, out of which, 370 seats (208 for the army, 42 for navy and 120 for air force) will be registered for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the rest for the naval academy.
Educational qualifications:
Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates should have cleared Class XII exam.
Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have cleared Class XII exams with physics and mathematics. Candidates appearing for Class XII examination can also apply.
Exam Pattern:
Mathematics: 150 minutes (300 marks)
General Ability Test: 150 minutes (600 marks)
Total: 900
SSB Test/Interview: 900
