APPSC Issues Notification For Recruitment Of 691 Forest Officer Posts
The online application process will commence on July 16, 2025 through the official website, psc.ap.gov.in.
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) posts in the Forest Department.
The online application process will begin on July 16. Candidates can apply for the posts on the official website, psc.ap.gov.in.
The recruitment drive aims at fulfilling 691 vacancies, including 256 FBO and 435 ABO posts. Of the total vacancies, 550 are fresh ones while the rest 141 are carried forward from previous the recruitment cycles, said notice issued by the APPSC.

Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Should not exceed 30 years of age as on the cut-off date mentioned in the notification.
- Candidates will be subject to additional physical and medical standards as specified in the recruitment rules.
Selection process
The selection process for APPSC Forest Officer 2025 will be done in multiple stages.
- First stage includes a screening test, which is an offline qualifying examination consisting of multiple-choice questions aimed at shortlisting candidates for the next stage.
- Those who clear the screening test move on to the main written examination.
- The main written examination is a computer-based test divided into three parts: General Studies and Mental Ability, General Science and General Mathematics, and Essay Writing.
- Candidates who qualify in the main exam are need to undergo a Physical Measurements Test (PMT) and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), where their physical standards and endurance will be tested as per departmental norms.
- Candidates who pass all the previous stages will be called for document verification, during which they must present their original academic certificates and supporting documents to confirm their eligibility before final selection.
