BHU Invites Applications For Professor Posts In Odia Chair

The Banaras Hindu University has invited applications from eligible candidates to fill up the post of professor, associate professor and assistant professor in the Odia Chair. The chair is named after Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja.
The recruitment will be carried out under the Department of Indian Languages, Faculty of Arts.

Essential Qualification:
For Professor
An eminent scholar having PhD in Odia, and published work of at least 10 research publications in UGC listed journals.
OR
A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor or research experience at University/national level institutions.
For Associate Professor
A PhD in Odia with good academic record and minimum of eight years of experience of teaching in a college/university.
OR
Research position in an Accredited Research institution with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals.
For Assistant Professor
The candidate must have scored at least 55 per cent marks in post-graduation, must have cleared NET.
As per the notification, retired persons can also apply.
Selection:
According to the recruitment notification, the academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for universities shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
Desirable:
i) Proficiency in the English Language.
ii) Knowledge and Experience in Translation and Comparative Literary Studies.
