Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is set to establish a research centre on its Shimla property in Himachal Pradesh.
The proposal to utilise the varsity’s property in Shimla was on top of the agenda in the executive council meeting that approved other decisions too, according to a BHU spokesperson.
The executive members gave the go-ahead to run a centre for research studies in Shimla.
Another major proposal that was approved by the members is to set up a world-class auditorium on the campus. Sanganeria Foundation will build the auditorium with a capacity of 1,000 seats.
