Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar region has secured 8th position in the Class X results announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday.
Among total 16 regions in the country, Trivandrum has emerged as the top performer with 99.99% success rate this year. The region had scored the highest passing percentage of 99.28 in 2020 Board examinations.
While 99.21% of students have passed in Odisha this year, their figure is 99.62% in Bhubaneswar. Out of the total 43,630 students who appeared at the examination in the state, 43,288 have cleared it.
Following is the performance of top 10 regions:
Trivandrum – 99.99%
Bengaluru – 99.96%
Chennai – 99.94%.
Pune – 99.92%
Ajmer – 99.88%
Panchkula – 99.77%
Patna – 99.66%
Bhubaneswar – 99.62%
Bhopal – 99.47%
Chandigarh – 99.46%
This year, a record 99.04% of students passed the Board examinations in the country. It saw a jump of over 8 percentage points from the last year’s 91.46%.
Besides, the number of students getting marks over 90% has also gone up. As many as 2,00,962 students have scored more than 90% marks in the examination. Total 57,824 students have got 95% and above marks this year.
