Bhubaneswar Students Win Gold & Silver Medals At National Welding League 2020
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-based C V Raman Global University hosted the National Welding League 2020 for women from March 6-8 here.
Students from different parts of the country like Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Maharashtra participated in the competition.
The Gold and Silver medal went to the students of Govt ITI Bhubaneswar and Bronze to the student of CV Raman Global University
According to a press release, only 30 of the 200 students, who had initially registered for the competition, made to the final round.
The Medallion of Excellence went to the students of Govt ITI, Bhubaneswar, Shri Vishwakarma University, Haryana; Bannari Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu.
The event that CV Raman Global University held in collaboration with Fronius India, Lincoln Electric and IIW, was inaugurated by the managing director of Fronius India Pvt. Ltd, Vishwanath Kamath. President, IIW, Parimal Biswas was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and he also distributed the prizes.
Biswas opined that an event like this not only serves as a competition for women but also provides them with a platform to build a robust career in welding.
