Bhubaneswar: BJD Parliamentarian and KIIT founder Achyuta Samanta urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to facilitate the continuation of medical education of students’ evacuation from war-ravaged Ukraine.
Praising the Prime Minister for already evacuating 18,000 students from Ukraine, Samant requested PM Modi to urgently deal with the problem of academics by concretising a policy to ensure that none of the 18,000 students is left behind.
“It is my sincere request to one of the most youth-friendly and student-friendly Prime Minister India has ever seen to facilitate the continuation of medical education in India at Government level fees,” Samanta was quoted as saying in a press release.
Samant urged the Prime Minister and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to come up with a concrete policy for distributing the students to different medical colleges in India at the level they were continuing so that there is no disruption in their academics.
“Such a visionary, compassionate step will secure the future and career of the students and their parents will be relieved,” the BJD Parliamentarian from Kandhamal said.
