BSE Odisha Begins Online Registration For OSSTET 2019

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, has begun the online registration process for the OSSTET 2019 (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test 2019) on its official website. As per the official notification released by the Board, the application forms for OSSTET 2019 will be available till the midnight of December 16, 2019. The application process will be entirely based on online mode.

OSSTET 2019 is being conducted for teachers who wish to take up subjects like Science, Arts, Hindi, Classical teachers (Sanskrit, Urdu, and Telugu) and physical education.

Eligibility

Besides the requisite academic and professional qualifications, the candidates must be able to read and write in Odia. Anyone of the following qualification will be taken into consideration to ascertain this ability of the candidate.

(a) He/ she must have passed HSC Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or an equivalent examination conducted by any other State Board or Central Board (like CBSE, ICSE) with Odia as a language subject i.e. First/ Second or Third Language.

(b) He/ She must have passed +2 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha with Odia as an examination subject.

(c) He/She must have passed Odia Examination of HSC/ 10th Standard Single Subject Examination conduct by the B.S.E., Odisha. In case the candidate desire to be language teacher like Hindi/ Classical Teachers (Sanskrit/Telugu/ Urdu), passing Odia Examination of 07th Standard conducted by B.S.E., Odisha shall be allowed.

Details about the OSSTET examination: The examination will be conducted in two different parts for the prospective teachers in two different categories such as:

Category I: Education Teachers (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/ Arts, Hindi/Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telugu).

Category II: Physical Education Teacher.

Application Fee – Application fee is to be paid online by 11.59 pm December 16, 2019.

How to Apply

• Visit the official website: www.osstet.co.in
• On the page that opens, find ‘Click here to login’ and click on in.
• On the page that opens, find ‘New Registration’ and click on it.
• On the page that opens, candidates are to fill details like – name, email ID, mobile number and are to create their own password, retype the password.
• Then click on the ‘submit button’.
• Then the candidates will get a registration number and password.
• With this registration number and password, candidates will be able to login to fill up the OSSTET Exam 2019 online application form.

According to the official notification, the date for downloading of the admit card and date of the examination will be notified in due course.
