CAT 2024 Provisional Answer Key Released, Check The Details
The window to raise objections to the answer key to remain open from 6 pm on December 3, 2024 to 11.55 pm on December 5, 2024
HYDERABAD: The response sheet and answer key for CAT 2024 has been released on the official website.
Candidates who appeared for the exam on November 24, 2024, can evaluate their performance through the answer keys.
The answer key allows the candidates to compare their answers with the correct ones and estimate their scores.
Candidates can download the CAT 2024 answer key and response sheets from the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
The download link for the CAT answer key can be accessed by logging into the candidates’ accounts on the official website.
Once logged in, candidates should navigate to the ‘Answer Key’ section and download the PDF.
How to download CAT 2024 answer key
Step 1: Visit the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in
Step 2: Login with your user ID and password.
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Answer Key’ section.
Step 4: Download the answer key in PDF format.
Step 5: Save it for reference.

The CAT exam this year had 68 questions, of which 24 were from the verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), 22 from data interpretation and logical reasoning, and the remaining 22 were from quantitative ability.
Around 2.93 lakh candidates appeared for the exam of the 3.29 lakh registered eligible candidates, registering an overall attendance of 89%, according to data shared in the official website.
The deadline to raise objection to the answer key is December 5, 2024.
“Objection Management window opens on 3 December, 2024 at 6 pm and closes on 5 December, 2024 at 11.55 pm,” reads the official notification issued on the official website.
Candidates can raise objections by visiting the official website and paying the prescribed fee.
Marking pattern
For every correct answer, candidates will get three points and one point will be deducted for each wrong answer. The negative marking is limited to multiple-choice questions only.
The final answer key and results will be announced based on the objections received, said the website.
