CBSE 2019 Exams: Memos Issued To Teachers For Faulty Checking!
The Teachers Allegedly Committed Errors, Discrepancies While Evaluating Answer Books
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly issued memos to teachers who allegedly committed errors and discrepancies during the evaluation of answer books and computation of marks of the 2019 CBSE board exams.
Some news reports on Monday claimed that CBSE has asked the schools to suspend all such teachers who are facing investigations.
Times Now said that the board will be sending instructions on how to conduct the enquiry and actions to be taken against teachers found responsible.
Communications sent to individual students notes how the “irresponsible” acts of the teachers have caused “grief” and “anxiety” to many students.
The development comes just months ahead of the CBSE class X and class XII 2020 board exams. This year, after the exams were over, CBSE had conducted workshops for teachers who were to be engaged in the exercise. As per reports, during the workshops, CBSE teachers were warned of action for discrepancies.
The warning was issued after it was found that requests for evaluation and re-tabulations of marks from students were increasing year on year.
CBSE has now set up a multi-level checking process to avoid errors in evaluations and computation of results, news reports said.
