New Delhi: The question paper pattern for class XII board examinations has apparently been changed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to focus more on multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and case studies, reported India.com.
This information comes in light of the recently released sample papers for class X and XII, which show an increase of 10 per cent in weightage for MCQs.
Explaining that the new pattern was meant to test the students’ ability to understand, Principal of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary, Geetha Govindarajan told The Times of India that the papers are being shifted “to understanding and application-oriented questions,” and that due to the length of the paper, they “are giving practices to students.”
