CBSE Joins Hands With MIC & AICTE To Launch ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has joined hands with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to unveil the ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’.

Through the programme, the CBSE will train 50,000 teachers as Innovation Ambassadors. The CBSE teachers’ online training programme will be launched on July 16.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank finalised the launch date. The CBSE affiliated schools have been asked to nominate five teachers from their schools and the training will be imparted on a first come, first serve basis.

According to a CBSE statement, the schools that have already registered their teachers are also required to login on mic.gov.in/sia/ with the registered email ID of Single Point of Contact. The password has been emailed to the registered email ID of SPOC.

The first batch of the first module, which will begin on July 20, will be on Design Thinking and Innovation.
