New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began the Reading Challenge 3.0 for the Class VI-X students in Hindi and English languages on Monday, November 22.
This challenge has been made available on the DIKSHA platform till December 31. The affiliated schools need to register their students and provide them registration IDs to join, the board said.
CBSE is not charging any participation fee for this activity. “It is well accepted that reading literacy is not only a foundation for achievement in other subject areas within the educational system but also a prerequisite for successful participation in most areas of adult life,” said the CBSE said.
Students are required to log in to DIKSHA — either via the app or the website — and join the activity. The challenge will be of 60-minute duration for Class VI-VII students while the same for Class VIII-X students would be 50 minutes.
“All students who complete the course would be provided a participation certificate. Participation certificates will be issued online on the DIKSHA platform itself upon completion of the course,” the CBSE said.
Students need to have DIKSHA’s latest version app or they may visit the DIKSHA website to receive certificates.
