CBSE Reschedules CTET 2024 For December Session, Check The Details

HYDERABAD: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rescheduled the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the December 2024 session. The CTET 2024, which was slated for December 15, 2024, will now be conducted on December 14, 2024, in 136 cities across India.

This change has been made to avoid clash with several other government examinations scheduled for December 15.

“As per the information received from various candidates, several competitive examinations are scheduled to take place in some states and union territories on December 15, 2024 (Sunday). Therefore, in the interest of candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on December 14, 2024 (Saturday). If the number of candidates in any city exceeds capacity, the exam may also be held on December 15, 2024 (Sunday),” said a notice issued by the CBSE.

The deadline for submitting online applications for the CTET-2024 is October 16, 2024.

How to apply for CBSE CTET-2024

Step 1: Go to the official CBSE CTET website at ctet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the “New Registration” link.

Step 3: Fill in the details, create password and submit the form to receive registration number.

Step 4: Use the registration number and password to log in to your account.

Step 5: Fill the CTET application form with the required details

Step 6: Select the preferred exam city and subject.

Step 7: Upload the scanned copies of photograph and signature in specified format

Step 8: Pay the fee and download the receipt.

Step 9: Review the information before submitting the application form.

Step 10: Download and print the confirmation page for reference

 

The CTET is a qualifying assessment for candidates seeking to become teachers at the primary (classes I to V) and upper primary (classes VI to VIII) levels.
